🙋 What is Peekaboo?

Peekaboo is a brand new way to make friends and meet new people online in a fun but safe environment, where you're protected by our world-class content moderation and our 24/7 safety team.

🙋 When did Peekaboo launch?

We first launched Peekaboo in August 2023, and we've been working since then to make the app better, safer, and more enjoyable for our users since then.

🙋 Who made Peekaboo?

Peekaboo was developed by a group friends in Los Angeles, California, but the app is available in more than 30 countries worldwide.

🙋 Is Peekaboo safe?

Yes, Peekaboo is the safest app available in the "make new friends" space. We use state-of-the-art AI moderation to ensure that all content in the app is suitable for all of our users, as we want Peekaboo to be a safe and friendly environment for all. Additionally, we have a team of human moderators constantly sifting through the app to find and squash bugs, enforce our Terms of Service, and make the app experience better for the Peekaboo community.

🙋 I need help with my Peekaboo account. Who can I contact?

First off, thank you for using Peekaboo and being a part of our community! 🙋 I'm a parent, and I'm concerned about my child's usage of Peekaboo. What should I do?

We totally understand! The internet can be a scary place to allow your children to venture into alone. However, we want to make the Peekaboo experience as safe and productive as possible for all of our users. If you have any specific requests for us, please tap "Contact Us" at the top of the page or email help@peekaboo.fyi so that a team member can answer any questions you have. Otherwise, we recommend trying out the app for yourself! The best way to know what your kids could be getting into on Peekaboo is to try it out for yourself, and we can't wait to accept you into our community.

🙋 I'm from a law enforcement organization; who can I reach out to for further assistance?

We're happy to help! Please reach out to us at lawenforcement@peekaboo.fyi with the following information in order to be fully compliant with legal due process:
1. A valid identification proving association with a law enforcement organization.
2. Screenshots or any other proof of offending content.
3. Any known information about both recipient and sender.
With valid law enforcement requests, Peekaboo can maintain user content data and will disclose such data pursuant to proper legal process in accordance with 18 U.S.C. §2703(a) and United States v. Warshak, 631 F.3d 266 (6th Cir. 2010).

🙋 I'm having subscription or payment issues; who should I contact?

Thank you for being an important part of the Peekaboo community! All in-app purchases and subscriptions are handled directly through your phone's corresponding app store. For any questions, concerns, or assistance with payment-related issues, we would recommend reaching out directly to your app store.

🙋 Can I request deletion of my data from Peekaboo?

Yes, you can absolutely request that we delete your data. As a side note, we do not collect any data that you do not provide directly to the app when creating or editing your profile. If you would like for us to delete this data for you, you can request data deletion by emailing datadeletion@peekaboo.fyi. We review and fulfill these requests in a timely manner.
